Distance Covered:

Started off in the estuary with the 5.8 and new toy. It felt really good for the single run but the sand banks were a little too shallow I ended up with a pretty expensive catapult. One boom and mast down the drain, doh!!!!! No damage to the board or sail thankgoodness. Headed over to the sea fron with Al and had a pretty gusty session. As the tide rose the wind became even more gusty so it was time to pack in. After a cup of tea with Al I went back to the estuary just for a look. Saw a numpty German kite sufer try launch a 9m and nearly kill himself and a few cars. Old Ivor is very deceptive, so the silly bugger wanted to try launch again. I think he got the idea when we told him to launch right at the waters edge so he did not kill anybody else. The wind was now hitting 40knots. Met up with few other windsufers so it was back on the water again. Pretty manic at times but still very gusty. A third and final session ended the day.
